We are excited that construction is complete on the train viewing platform and that it is getting a lot of use.  We are also in the process of completing the parking lot which will be a great addition to our downtown area.  Locust Grove is a great place to live?  Give me a call if you would like to talk about buying a home in the area or if you have a home to sell.

We have broken ground on our train viewing platform in Downtown Locust Grove and construction is underway. This is going to be a great addition to our City and will provide a great opportunity for watching trains as well as many other uses. Completion is expected by the end of March, 2013, and we are excited to see this new addition to our downtown area.

We are excited that Henry County’s premier hair spa has moved to our great little downtown area. They are in a gorgeous old building that was once a home. The renovations are beautiful, and the location is great. Give them a try – especially if you have been driving to Atlanta for your cut and color. You will be glad you did!!

It is so nice to have more dining choices in the Grove.   Welcome to Gezzo’s and Doc’s Diner in addition to The French Market.  All offer great menus for lunch or dinner.  I have tried them all and have enjoyed them all.  Great hot dogs and hamburgers at Doc’s.  Great Burritos at Gezzo’s and great dinner menu at The French Market!   We are excited!

Are you an optimist or pessimist?  Optimists believe that their actions matter.  They “TRY.”  Pessimists believe that they are helpless and that nothing they do matters and lapse into passive helplessness.

It’s that time of year again – time to file our taxes.  If you purchased a home in 2010, don’t forget that a large chunk of your closing costs may be tax deductible AND don’t forget you mortgage interest deduction and property tax deduction.

Our 7th Annual Groovin in the Grove is scheduled for May 14, 2011.  It will be held at the beautiful Locust Grove Event Center.  The headline band performing is Fine Line. Tables are $175 and will seat 8-10 people.  There will be a table decorating contest with prizes awarded in various categories.  This event is always a blast.

The Locust Grove Downtown Development Authority is sponsoring “Mardi Growl” in downtown Locust Grove on March 12th, 2011.  It should be a great event with a doggie parade, vendors who cater to our 4-legged friends and stage events.  It will begin at 10:00 a.m. at City Hall.  The parade will  follow the sidewalks along Highway 42 to the Historic Downtown Area and Mayor’s Walk Park.  If you want to enter your dog in the parade, please call City Hall at 770.957.5043 or go by and see Sandi.  It will be lots of fun!

I want to wish all of my friends and clients a very happy new year!!  Thank you for your business through the years.  I am very thankful for the clients and customers who have allowed me the opportunity to be their Realtor!!  I really appreciate your business.
